Arts and crafts have always been a big part of my life and most recently painting is my focus. I earned an art degree with an emphasis in interior design from San Diego State University. For over 30 years I worked for a leading international textile company and have been greatly influenced by textile patterns and mid-century design. Having retired in 2017, I am pleased to say that I am now just a passionate painter!
I enjoy painting in a variety of genres and hope that my joyfulness is evident in my artwork. It is my belief that a painting should provide the viewer with the opportunity of a happy little escape everyday. Nature inspires my seascapes, landscapes, and botanical work. My imagination fuels my abstract creations which are usually playful or whimsical combinations of shapes, colors, marks and drawings of favorite objects. My work includes a combination of acrylic paint, collage, watercolor, pencil and more. Substrates include paper, canvas and wood panel.
